Cedar Creek Lake - Cedar Creek Reservoir was constructed between 1961 and 1965 in Henderson and Kaufman Counties. The Reservoir is 18 miles in length and 8.5 miles wide, has over 220 miles of shoreline with a surface area of 32,873 acres.

Many of Cedar Creek Lake’s residents are commuters, traveling to the Dallas area to work. They proclaim the hundred mile round trip well worth the serenity they experience upon returning home to the lake at the end of the work day. The shoreline of Cedar Creek Lake is also a popular spot for “week-enders” who purchase vacation/week-end homes that they can enjoy year round. The City of Gun Barrel City has been designated a Texas Certified Retirement Community.

Cedar Creek Lake offers diverse lodging, dining, retail, RV sites and water sports, all located on or near the shoreline of beautiful Cedar Creek Lake. The incorporated towns of Kemp, Seven Points, Tool, Trinidad, Malakoff, Star Harbor, Caney City, Log Cabin, Payne Springs, Enchanted Oaks, Gun Barrel City, Mabank and Eustace all surround the lake. The various towns are able to maintain their own identities and local governments, while having the distinction of being part of the Cedar Creek Lake community. Great festivals, local celebrations with a friendly hometown atmosphere, fishing, boating and golf are ongoing throughout the year.

Lake Athens - Lake Athens is owned by the city of Athens. It is a municipal water source for Athens. It is located north east of Athens between FM 317, FM 2495, and FM 2892. From Athens, take SH 31 east to FM 2495 to the lake. Lake Athens is the home of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Freshwater Fish Hatchery Center.

Richland Chambers Lake - Richland Chambers Lake is owned and was built by Tarrant County Water Control District (TCWCD) in 1983. It is a water source for the communities serviced by the TCWCD. The lake is in Navarro and Freestone Counties, southeast of Corsicana. It is bound by IH –45 on the west, US Hwy 287 on the north, FM 309 on the East, and FM 416 on the south. The constant pool elevation is 315 feet above mean sea level. Property ownership is above 317 feet above mean sea level. It covers 41,356 surface acres and about 330 miles of shoreline.
